In October 2016 during the Bilbao Webfest, Web Series Mag awarded its special prize to the Uruguayan production company Finoli Films. Today it’s time to explain you why. And the answer is quite simple: everything this company produces is super high quality and really original. Finoli Films focuses on comedy. Their first production was a mockumentary about a canoe club ambitioning to participate in the Rio Olympics. It’s entitled Escuela de Canotaje and it is a very good piece of humour with all the crazy characters we love to see making fools of themselves in a mockumentary. Here’s the trailer:
Led by multitalented creator Gastón Armagno, also a writer and a director, the company continued on its path to success and presented only a few months later a new comedy at Bilbao Webfest: El Maravilloso Parque Hoolister, again an ensemble cast series. This is the story of a young girl who works in the worst amusement park ever and is super bored. But everything changes when one of her colleagues is found dead, giving her the opportunity to unleash her passion for thriller and mystery. Here’s the trailer :
Finoli Film never stops imagining and creating. They already are on a new project, still a comedy but this time darker than the previous one: Neptunia. Below you can watch the promo clip produced last year to help finance the project:
All this projects show amazing production values besides real creative content and original treatment. We are going to hear about Finoli Films in the next years as this company is obviously on a straight road to success.
